Recently, the company received the Environmental Management Certification ISO 14001 and decided to move their corporate recycling program to the golf course. The program consisted in the recycling of materials such as: aluminum, cardboard, glass and plastic. Three recycling stations where placed in the course, in which players could deposit the aluminum cans and water bottles or just give to the Ricoh Classic volunteers at the station for future recycle.

The tournament is a fund raising event celebrated every year. This year’s funds where donated to United Way of Puerto Rico, which supports other nonprofit organizations and El Angel Foundation of Miguel Cotto, which help children overcome obesity through exercise and education. The event raised a total of $50,000. Thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers the tournament was a total success.
